The Art Studio with a Volunteering Organization

AriAri21 is an Art volunteer non-profit organization which provides volunteering opportunities for students who are enrolled in our studio. Students will get to collaborate on mural projects in public spaces and earn valuable experiences. Participation in AriAri21 is optional.

  • Yina

    FOUNDER

    Yina, the founder of HongArt, is on a mission to make art education a transformative experience for all. With a deep passion for teaching, she fosters creativity across all age groups, turning HongArt into a dynamic space where artistic passion thrives.

  • Beckie

    KIDS - MIDDLE

    LEAD INSTRUCTOR

    Beckie is a graduate of the Art Center's Illustration program and serves as the lead teacher for the Hong Art Kids program. She provides individualized assignments tailored to each child's skill level, introduces various artistic mediums, and fosters students' confidence and resilience through her classes.

  • Rachel

    HIGH SCHOOL

    LEAD INSTRUCTOR

    Rachel is a graduate of CalArts, she earned her BFA in Character Animation and has also studied at institutions like Gobelins, L'École de L'Image for Animation and Rhode Island School of Design for Illustration. Currently serving as the lead teacher for the Hong Art High School program, she focuses on college portfolio preparation. Rachel is dedicated to instilling in her students a robust combination of technical prowess and conceptual depth, motivating them to excel in their artistic endeavors.

  • Roxie

    MIDDLE SCHOOL

    LEAD INSTRUCTOR

    Roxie holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master’s degree in Animation from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. As the current instructor for middle school students, she combines her extensive expertise in drawing, painting, and design with a special focus for introducing young artists to the dynamic realm of digital arts. Roxie is dedicated to nurturing her students' creativity by integrating multimedia approaches and innovative techniques, helping them build a solid foundation for their future artistic endeavors.

  • Revel

    HIGH SCHOOL

    INSTRUCTOR

    Revel is a graduate of Art Center’s entertainment design program and a LA-based artist with experience in animation and live action, dedicated to teaching and mentoring high school students. With a strong background in storyboarding, sculpture, digital, and fine arts, Revel brings a well-rounded approach to creative education. They aspire to helping young artists develop their skills, expand their artistic voices, and explore new storytelling possibilities across various mediums.
